Definition:
An administrative body named the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit, concerned with communicating with the students and graduates of the College of Education for Pure Sciences and qualifying them through a range of programmes and workshops. It also builds bridges between students and the labour market — the government sector and the local and international private sector — and promotes them to it. The unit thus contributes to building an advanced society on which all state institutions rely to keep pace with practical developments, and updates the information provided to students in order to develop abilities that will serve our dear country in the future.
General objective:
The unit aims to help the students and graduates of the College of Education for Pure Sciences in all specializations to develop their personal, academic and applied abilities and life skills in line with the labour market, giving them the opportunity to compete for jobs after graduation in both the public and private sectors, locally or internationally, and to spread awareness of the importance of the private sector and relieve the burden on the public sector.
The college's students: knowledge is their strength
We are the children of Iraq, the land of Mesopotamia and the dawn of civilizations, the home of the prophets' messages and the resting place of saints. Born of hardship to build the future, we look to our students, inspired by the tolerant message of Islam, our social values, our cultural heritage and our scientific output, keeping pace with technological progress and harnessing all resources and capabilities to reform the present and build the future, so that we students become influential decision-makers who carry the banner of progress and prosperity. From this starting point, the administration of the College of Education for Pure Sciences sponsors this body and gives this educational, professional and knowledge programme great importance, as a matter of national value and strategic dimension, so that it is forward-looking and among the priorities needed by the higher-education system, producing a generation of graduates aware of academic objectives in both theory and practice and ready to enter the labour market.
