Dear students, the College of Education for Pure Sciences is pleased to announce the establishment of the University Incubator Unit to host your projects and to support and foster entrepreneurship and innovative start-ups.

University Incubator Unit

Brief overview of the unit:

The network of university business incubators was launched in all public universities across Iraq on the initiative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in cooperation with the Research and Development Directorate. As a first phase, a business incubator was established in each public university. The programme aims to build and expand business incubators to qualify future generations and enable them to create sustainable solutions that facilitate research and knowledge in Iraq. The incubators host and support ideas, projects, research and patents in order to foster creativity and innovation and spread a culture of entrepreneurship.

The incubator network provides a supportive development and mentoring environment for business incubators by offering activities, events and scientific and practical content to incubator members and to all individuals and institutions interested in establishing incubators in Iraq.

Vision:

The incubator aims to be a pioneer in turning the entrepreneurial ideas of the university's entrepreneurs, from any sector, into real projects that strengthen the national economy and contribute to its sustainable development.

Incubator Mission :

Our efforts aim to nurture and develop entrepreneurial ideas by providing a comprehensive range of services and support to entrepreneurs in order to meet society's needs effectively.

Objectives of the unit:

1- Providing a positive environment for incubating the creative ideas and pioneering work of university staff and nurturing incubated ideas until they become a tangible reality.

2- Protecting entrepreneurs by informing them about ways to protect property, intellectual property and patents.

3- Preparing entrepreneurs for the various administrative tasks needed to manage and market their projects successfully.

4- Attracting young people with initiatives and creative ideas and forming an official umbrella for youth initiatives.

5- Empowering university staff and students with initiatives, studying the ideas they present and helping them develop and implement them in the best possible way.
