Mathematics is a modern applied science intertwined with all other sciences and holds a distinguished place in scientific study at colleges and universities worldwide. The Department of Mathematics admits students from the scientific stream in order to prepare scientific, intellectual and educational staff and leaders with enlightened, open minds, through scientific training of the mind (intellectual development) and the development of mathematical thinking among students.
