The Educational Pure Scinse College

The Department of Mathematics was established in the College of Education in the academic year (2012–2013). In (2014–2015), the College of Education was divided into two colleges: one for the scientific departments under the name College of Education for Pure Sciences, and another for the humanities departments under the name College of Education for Human Sciences.
1- Teaching: The department aims to provide the governorate’s community with qualified educational staff capable of teaching mathematics with high efficiency.
2- Research: The job involves conducting research and studies in various fields of mathematics based on the scientific materials and theories that have been studied.
3- Postgraduate Studies: Graduates are qualified to continue their higher education inside and outside the country. The department seeks to advance the educational process in mathematics to reach the highest level of quality, in order to graduate students who are well-qualified, capable of logical thinking, and possess scientific research skills to meet the needs of the labor market. It also aims to raise the level of mathematics graduates to contribute to the scientific and technological development of the country and to make the department one of the distinguished and leading educational departments in academic achievement.

The Department of Biology was established in the academic year 2014–2015. The department grants its graduates a Bachelor’s degree in Education, majoring in Biology, qualifying them to teach biology subjects at the intermediate and secondary levels. Graduates can also pursue postgraduate studies or engage in research fields. In addition to teaching, the department focuses on scientific research, organizes seminars, workshops, and local as well as international conferences, and actively participates in scientific events both within and outside the university.
1- Disseminating scientific knowledge in the field of biology and encouraging graduates to think scientifically and establish a link between knowledge in biology and the development it can bring to society.
2- Creating a balance between knowledge in the field of biology and the realities of education, while motivating graduates to adopt scientific and realistic thinking approaches.
3- Preparing qualified teaching staff armed with knowledge and expertise in biology to meet the needs of educational institutions at secondary and preparatory schools. The department also aims to supply higher education with specialized expertise in various fields of biology through master’s and doctoral studies. Furthermore, it seeks to transfer and develop scientific skills in biology into the educational context of secondary schools in order to improve the educational process and bring benefit to society.
