College vision
The College of Education for Pure Sciences at Al-Muthanna University seeks to achieve quality and excellence and to occupy a prominent position on the map of university education that contributes to building a knowledge society. Therefore, the college works to develop education at all levels, whether including pre-university education or higher education, in order to achieve human development. Comprehensive and sustainable society for Iraqi society and in communication with the Arab and foreign world.
College mission:
The mission of the College of Education for Pure Sciences at Al-Muthanna University is determined to build perceptions and take measures to form educational cadres and develop education at all levels, in cooperation with university colleges, the Ministry of Education, public and private schools, ministries and other institutions concerned with education.
Main tasks emerge from this message, which are the continuous training of teachers, the preparation of a distinguished teacher before service, his professional development during it, the promotion of scientific and educational research, which makes them capable of creativity and competition in the labor market, the preparation of researchers capable of developing knowledge in solving scientific and educational problems, and the provision of services and consultations from Through the centers and units of a special nature in the college, which helps produce scientific and educational knowledge and develop policies and programs that serve and develop society. The College of Education for Pure Sciences is committed, during its achievement and vision, to comprehensive quality standards and sustainable development.
Future prospects
The College of Education for Pure Sciences, Al-Muthanna University, believes that it must strive to reach advanced levels and provide society with scientific and educational cadres capable of creativity, giving, and excellence in knowledge and serving the process of scientific research in various disciplines to directly and effectively impact society. During the coming period, the college seeks to achieve the following:
1. Establishment of the Physics Department 2015-2016.
2.Introducing graduate studies in the Department of Mathematics and Life Sciences 2018-2019.
3. Developing quality assurance and obtaining accreditation from the Higher Authority for Educational Quality Assurance.
4. Creating a qualitative shift in teacher preparation programs in scientific specialization subjects with the variables of the Iraqi labor market.
5. Developing the student evaluation system to reflect the new directions in evaluation.
6. Providing the necessary material and human resources to achieve the college’s mission.
College objectives:
The College of Education for Pure Sciences aims to prepare leaders and educators who have the ability to contribute to creating scientific, cultural and social changes by raising and directing the new generation towards what serves the nation and helps it keep pace with scientific development in the world and learn about other cultures.
The College of Education for Pure Sciences receives graduates of preparatory school (scientific branch exclusively), in addition to the top ten graduates of (Teacher Preparation Institute – Science Branch). These two inputs are considered the main basic inputs for the college’s students, but its outputs represented by the graduates of this scientific and educational edifice are nourished by them:
1-The Ministry of Education, primarily as teachers of pure science subjects.
2- State ministries of a scientific and practical nature (such as the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Environment, in addition to research institutions whose specializations coincide with the specializations of graduates of the College of Education for Pure Sciences).
The college seeks to achieve the following goals:
1. Preparing a teacher for Iraqi secondary schools.
2. Providing the student with scientific, educational and social information to help achieve his desired goals.
3. Preparing this teacher scientifically, socially, educationally, and intellectually so that he can perform his profession as a teacher, educator, and thinker.
4. Enriching the labor market with trained competencies ready to develop and expand the local market technologically.
5. Contributing to the development and advancement of educational thought and the development of educational philosophy by supporting and following up on scientific research
